Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to support fair and balanced team formation while minimizing administrative complexity and volunteer burden. Team assignments are made in the best interest of the program as a whole.
Eligibility for Player Requests
Player (roster) requests are strictly limited to Head Coaches only.
- A Head Coach will automatically have their own child placed on their team.
- In addition, each Head Coach may request one (1) additional player to be placed on their team.
- No additional player requests will be accepted or considered under any circumstances.
Sibling Placement
Belle River Soccer will make every reasonable effort to ensure that siblings registered within the same division are placed on the same team. This accommodation is made where feasible and registration has occurred prior to the creation of team rosters (typically the date which late fees go into effect.)
Requests Not Considered
No other player placement requests will be negotiated or accommodated. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Transportation or carpooling needs
- Social preferences or friendships
- School affiliations
- Coaching style preferences
- Schedule convenience
All such requests will be declined.
Conflict or Separation Concerns
The Club recognizes that, in extremely limited cases, there may be concerns related to separating specific players due to prior conflict or interpersonal issues.
- Families may notify the Club of such concerns in advance of team formation.
- The Club will make reasonable efforts to consider these concerns where possible.
- No guarantees can be made, and notification does not obligate the Club to accommodate the request.
Final Authority
All team assignments are final and are made at the sole discretion of the Belle River Soccer. Submission of a request or concern does not guarantee accommodation.
By registering in the Belle River Soccer Youth House League program, families acknowledge and agree to this Friend Request Policy.
