Team Request Policy

APPLIES TO: Belle River Soccer Adult Coed House League

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure fair and balanced team formation while minimizing administrative complexity. The Adult Coed House League program is designed to prioritize fun, inclusion, and social interaction over competitive performance or team success. All team assignments are made in the best interest of the program as a whole.

Team Assignment

The following will be taken under consideration during team creation:

  • Players returning for consecutive years will be prioritized to return to their most recent team
  • Spouses and significant others specified during registration will be placed on the same team
  • Returning players looking to transfer to an established team will need to be approved by both the team captain and league convenor, conditional on roster size and uniform availability
  • New players requesting placement on a specific team will need to be approved by both the team captain and league convenor, conditional on roster size and uniform availability
  • Formation of a new team with a group of friends will be based on registration numbers and field availability. New teams may be formed from multiple groups requesting to play with a specified group of players
  • New players registering without affiliation will be assigned by the convenor to maintain balanced roster sizes and equitable team composition
  • Only registered players may participate in games for safety, liability and match fairness purposes

Final Authority

All team assignment decisions are final and are made at the sole discretion of the league convenor. Submission of a request or concern does not guarantee accommodation.

By registering in the Belle River Soccer Adult Coed House League program, you agree to this Team Request Policy.
